Dog At Shelter Who Loves Carrying Too Many Toys As He Can Is Still Looking For A Home
Arabella is a cheerful dog and absolutely loves attention. She also developed a routine that captured the hearts of the shelter staff and now thousands of people are fond of her.
“Every morning, after enjoying her breakfast, the adorable Arabella sets herself a challenge in her kennel to see how the toys can fit in her mouth. Then she proudly walks around with them for the rest of the day. The cushier the toy, the better!”
Weeks ago, Arabella achieved a major milestone. SFC Virginia shares, “Today she accomplished something where she was able to hold three entire toys in her mouth at once! She's incredibly proud of herself. Needless to say, so are we. That's why we decided to celebrate her victory by sharing it on our Facebook page. . . .”
Arabella joined the SFC Virginia crew two months ago after being rescued by one of their trusted partners.
“Arabella is a female boxer who arrived at our shelter underweight from one of our partner shelters,” SFC Virginia wrote on Facebook. “She's feeling overwhelmed by all the sights and sounds at our headquarters, with the dogs. We're really hoping to find her a home environment where she can gain some weight, relax and finally live her life!”
Unfortunately, finding a home has become a challenge recently for shelters across North America. The hope now is that by showcasing Arabella's talent, someone will come forward to promote or adopt her. “Arabella has been with us for a while and longs for a place to call her own where she can delight you every day with her toy antics and impressive delicacies,” the shelter expresses.
The shelter also states that “Arabella has interacted wonderfully with everyone she has met since arriving at SFC. Currently, we are looking for a home where she can be the only dog or have her own designated space away from other dogs so she can relax and really enjoy settling in.”
Although Arabellas' Facebook post gained attention and received thousands of shares, the shelter told us they only received two applications.
“We received a response to Arabella's post that garnered thousands of shares. We have received one request. We are still in contact with them. However, there is still a need for Arabella to find a home,” SFC Virginia updates. “She has been in our care for some time now. She will be a companion for any family looking for a furry friend to cherish.” Based on our experience, with her during her stay, we believe she will thrive as a dog in a home.
Arabella seems to have some boxer in her. Fully grown at about 45 lbs. She's a fun girl who absolutely loves receiving attention. Now all she needs is a loving family who can truly appreciate her loving nature.
For those talking about Arabella's prowess with stuffed toys, shelter staff report that she impressively manages to hold four or five of them at once!
Exciting update;
Weeks after Arabella became famous for her stuffed toy skills, SFC Virginia happily announced that Arabella had found her forever home. Congratulations to Arabella! We always knew her talent for stuffed toys would help her find a family.
