An owner’s desperate call for assistance starts a miraculous journey that ends with the rescue of a precious dog.
Last spring, Hayden Howard had a feeling her dog was not right. Jackson, Hayden’s English mastiff, ran about the backyard while she was inside.
She phoned him, and he looked like he would been stung bad by bugs. The wounds were noticeably worse when she examined them more closely.
In order to remove all of the bullets, the veterinarian had to significantly cut Jackson’s hair. He managed to retrieve 27 bullets, but he had to leave 20 in the dog’s body to prevent it from being injured any further.
In addition, there were twenty more gunshot wounds that the vet found on Jackson. Over seventy bullets struck him.
In the neighboring house, they quickly found a handgun and bullets concealed. A drug-related offense was the basis for the earlier conviction of the next-door neighbor.
